Introduction:  Calculating return for a content piece should be done and is relatively easy to do; however most organizations do not take the time to understand if the content created is worth the effort and cost. Here is how you can get started.

Analysis Overview:  Return for a piece of content measures the cost it takes to create that content and promote it by the consumption or interactions with that content.

Analysis Benefits:

  1. Identify which content pieces (blogs, videos, etc.) offer the best return on the dollar.
  2. Quantify the time, effort, and resources spent to create the content.
  3. Provide direction on content strategy to which piece drives more interactions with your site influencing future content piece creation.
  4. Pinpoint optimal content placement and exposure time prior to content fatigue.
  5. Highlight cost savings opportunities allowing investment for other company initiatives.
