Passing the Torch to the New DAA Women in Analytics Chair

For the past few years, Sharon Flynn has done an amazing job as the Chair of DAA Women in Analytics.  She has guided the ship and provided great resources like our WiA Mural Board activity, the WiA Survey, and programming that aligns with the WiA mission of education in mentoring, advocacy and soft skills.

The WiA Steering committee brought some great content to align with this mission in 2022 including, Navigating Toxic Workplaces, GA4 Implementation Workshop and identifying good places to work that promote women in tech and women's group speakers.

As Sharon continues her DAA Board position, she has decided to pass the torch on to new leadership for the WiA Committee.  Barbara Kalicki will be taking over as Chair providing a fresh focus and continuing the vision and mission of WiA.

It has been a privilege to serve as the Chair of the Women in Analytics Committee over the past 4 years. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Erin Lambertz for her guidance and support during my time and will always be grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a talented and dedicated professional.  I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to the success and growth of WiA. With the worst of the pandemic behind us and much change in our industry fresh leadership and vision is needed. I am excited to support the endeavors of the newly revitalized WiA steering committee and the always talented and tireless Barbara Kalicki who has graciously agreed to take over the chairmanship of WiA.” ~~Sharon Flynn

As the new Chair of the Women in Analytics Committee, I would like to express my gratitude to Erin Lamberts for her amazing support and Sharon Flynn for her dedication, guidance and the opportunity to become WiA Chair.   Additionally, I am very excited to introduce a brand new format for our quarterly calls, providing an option for our members to register for one of two time slots; at Noon ET or 4pm ET.  We are hoping this new format will give more flexibility for our members to take advantage of attending these quarterly calls.”  ~~Barbara Kalicki
