  • 1.  Visit Score

Introduction:  Despite what you have heard, measuring a website is not a linear process.

Users do not convert every visit, the customers that do convert may never visit your site again, and for some sites, the term "conversion" really doesn't apply. Figuring out how to measure the user experience over time is a must when determining the stickiness of your web property. The problem is, out-of-the-box measures (such as time on site and page depth) are not always the best methods when understanding a user’s level of engagement.

There is actually a better way…

    Analysis Overview:

Enter Visit Score...the process of measuring key events within a web experience to determine the level of engagement for a session or a user. Interested? Great! ...let's find out how easy it is to implement this new metric that will completely change your analytics game.

Analysis Benefits: This metric is not only a great tool for B2C websites when a large contingent of users are not converting in any given session, but it is a savior for B2B websites where the historic problem has always been "How effective is my site if I don't have obvious call to actions"?

    Potential applications include:

    • Assessing engagement-levels across marketing channels
    • Measuring changes in user behavior after site redesign
    • Uncovering New vs. Returning behaviors
    • Determining what cohorts of users likely to convert based on key interactions
