DAA Member Benefit: The Value of Volunteering

By Marilee Yorchak posted 10 days ago

Volunteering with DAA is a great way to enhance your DAA membership experience, gain leadership experience, and build your personal network.

DAA lists all current volunteer opportunitieson the national scale on the DAA website. All opportunities are designed to not be long-term commitments, but ones that fit in your life.

If you are interested in volunteering to help a local chapter, now is a good time to reach out to chapter leadersin your local area as they plan for 2020. They would love to have your help in identifying & securing speakers, venues, and planning chapter events.  If you are interested in volunteering to help plan for the 2020 Symposia Series (Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco or Toronto), email the DAA Symposia Events Team.

As a nonprofit, DAA relies on our members and their expertise to help us advance our profession.  During this time of giving and holiday spirit, I’d like to personally thank all of you that volunteer your time and talents to DAA.  Without our great volunteers, DAA could not offer nearly the programs and services we do!

Best wishes for a happy holiday season!
