An enthusiastic group of Atlanta DAA members set out to revive their local chapter in mid-2016. Since then, their focus and drive have already generated increased excitement and involvement from the local analytics community.
Since October 2016 the DAA's Atlanta Chapter has held two well-attended events. One, a kick-off meeting, was held in the IBM offices in Atlanta and featured a panel discussion by analytics industry leaders.
Building on that success, in January 2017 Turner Broadcasting's offices hosted the DAA Atlanta Chapter for a Knowledge Café conducted by DAA's Laura Brooks. Dee Yarbrough commented, "Our members have gotten a lot of value out of networking with others in the industry and sharing the challenges we all face in hopes of finding solutions."
Matt Gellis remarked, "Atlanta has a deep and rich analytics pool. The membership potential is very high here. We also have been encouraged by the DAA's support and look forward to a great 2017."
If you live in or visit the Atlanta area and would like your DAA membership to include a complementary membership to this active chapter, contact the DAA.
