As I enter my last year as Board Chair of the Digital Analytics Association, I want to thank those who are stepping down from the Board and those who are stepping up.
Wait. What? “Last year”??
It’s OK - Don’t get upset or dance in the streets depending on your opinion of my work here. Details below. *
The first people I want to thank are those who are matriculating off the Board. Thank you so much for your insights and the work you put into keep the DAA a wonderful place for all members. We literally could not have done this without you.
Colin Coleman, Equifax
Deanna Pagano, MetLife
Robin Chiang, First Data
Steve Petitpas, Microsoft
And now, to those who have stepped up to take on the job on the DAA Board of Directors. I can’t wait to start working with you!
Aaron Maass, Maass Media
Jennifer Frigault, Gannett
Ian Thomas, Microsoft
Valerie Kroll, UBS
Aaron, Jennifer, Ian and Valerie bring the number of DAA Board Members to 54. Fifty-four people have come forward to help steer the DAA. See the first 50 here. I am speechless to be in such wonderful company.
Thank you, thank you, thank you and welcome to our new Board Members!
Jim
* Digital Analytics Association Term Limits were implemented and became effective as of June 24, 2010.
All board members have a term limit of three two-year terms or a maximum of six years. After the term limit has expired, a minimum of one year off of the Board is required before former Board members are eligible to serve again.
Previous time in service for standing board members at this time will not count toward the six-year term limit. The accrual toward the six-year limit starts when the standing directors' current terms expire, should they be re-elected to the board.
I ran in 2010 and was re-elected June 1, ending my then current term in 2012. I was re-elected in 2012, 2014 and 2016, with my now current term ending in 2018. That means I am not eligible to run for the Board until June 2019.
Will I take a break? A sabbatical? “More time to be with my family?” On, ye of little faith! You’re not that easily rid of me.
There are some initiatives that are close to my heart, toward which I will be volunteering my time and talent. More on that anon.
