Analytics Pros Hosts Veterans Training in Augusta, GA

On February 3rd, we had the great opportunity to host our next installment of our Veterans Google Analytics Training. In partnership with the Digital Analytics Association and the Augusta Warrior Project, we were able to train the veterans of the Augusta, GA area and their families in the core skills of Google Analytics.

Augusta, GA was a great location to continue this series of analytics trainings as Fort Gordon is the new location for the Army’s cyber command center. Combining the technical knowledge that veterans have already received from their time in the military with the marketing and analytics understanding that comes from training in Google Analytics creates a highly-needed combination in today’s workforce.

“One of the greatest challenges for our clients is a scarcity of development resources, especially for marketing purposes,” said Vicki O’Meara, a former Army Captain who is President and CEO of Analytics Pros. “Marketing-savvy developers are in high demand, and there is a unique opportunity for Veterans with software engineering skills to enter the digital analytics workforce. We are honored to support this effort.”

Our Veterans Google Analytics training was a full training training seminar covering topics such as: introduction to digital analytics, Google Analytics 101, acquisition and attribution, user segmentation, and implementation with Google Tag Manager. The goal is to create a holistic overview that will allow attendees to have the skills and knowledge to grow further in their understanding of Google Analytics. Many of the attendees said that the training gave them some immediate skills to take back to their current roles, as well as the potential for future growth in this kind of role.

One attendee said, “This training day was extremely informative and helpful, and I will be able to use many of the things taught immediately. Thank you for coming to teach us!”

We at Analytics Pros are proud to support our Veterans and their families in such a way, giving back to those who have made sacrifices for our country, while also continuing to grow and enlarge the greater analytics community at the same time!
